Cessna L-19 on the Three Forks ramp captured by Z 6II / Z14-24f2.8
The Three Forks Fly-in has been an August tradition for decades bringing in aircraft from far and wide. Hosted by the Montana Antique Aircraft Association, the aircraft that fly in vary from classics like this L-19 to PT-17 Stearman or Faust on floats, a one of a kind aircraft. A Friday-Saturday event, it is packed with planes and people enjoying Montana’s vast skies for flying. Short take-off and landing and flour bombing contests are just some of the flying that’s done. Judging of aircraft and a people choice award has the folks amongst the aircraft on the ramp all day, enjoying the stories being told and learning about other’s adventures. The day is wrapped up in the famous prime rib dinner where awards are awarded and stories continue. It’s a great event you should put on your calendar and take in yourself!
