Bellanca 14-13 captured by Z 8 / Z400f4.5 w/Z1.4x
Some might think of it as simply panning practice and it is, and a lot more! I’ve changed up my ground-to-air shooting rig to the Z 8 / Z400f4.5 w/Z1.4x, a smaller and lighter rig. This changes up my panning speed so I’m getting use to moving a little slower to compensate for the lighter rig. At the same time, I like to practice at the same time as my panning, background control and aircraft identification. Just like I was taught to recognize birds by silhoutte and flight, I’m doing the same with aircraft. When the Bellanca entered the pattern, I really scratched my head. I’d never seen one before and man, it’s cool! A 40s plane, I was fun to watch and photograph. It’s why I love ramp practice time!
