Supermarine Spitfire MkIX & Luscombe T8F captured by D4s / 70-200f4

I am incredibly fortunate to have friends who are great pilots, have some really cool aircraft and love to fly. With that said, this match up was not my idea. I was out to photograph just the Luscombe T8F, kinda rare aircraft built for an Air Force bid in WWII for an observation aircraft that never won a military contract. The owner of the aircraft had just acquired the Spitfire and when he heard we were heading out for a photo mission, he wanted a photograph of both his planes together. Both are WWII era aircraft, both are kinda rare but what truly ties them together are the people. That’s what makes aviation photography so grand, the people!
