Kinner Playboy R captured by Z 9 / Z50f1.2

This crazy looking plane shadows its very interesting past. Winfield Kinner started his plane company in 1920. One of his first planes the Airster had an influential buyer, Amelia Earhart. With that kind of support, we slowly grew his small company. His was a bit of an innovator looking to produce less expensive aircraft that in some ways, were like cars. In 1933 he came out with the Playboy, a two seater with side-by-side seating, rare for its day. The doors open up like car doors. Only twelve were built, two remain and only one of them flying. One thing I could find out is how it came by the name, Playboy.
