B-17G & P-51D captured by D3x / 70-200f2.8

We were all set, that classic WWII image of a Flying Fort with a Mustang. The mission was briefed, planes ready, time hacked. Then it came time to turn props. Mag check … issue on #4. Stop the clock, gotta check. The clock is ticking and in the meantime, the wind starts to blow. The flight gets pushed back from morning to afternoon. Once we hit the skies the wind has died down but only where we launch. Once we got over the target area, the winds were stronger, we got two orbits with the two ships and then they separated. And that was the end of the little buddy flight.
