The mission involved water, but what do you do as you’re flying to and from the water? I like to pack every minute of the flight with photography, so the route and light are tightly planned. It was just a couple of minutes of our direct route to spend some time over The Palouse. That was a no-brainer, off we headed. The resulting photographs because wall art for the pilots they still talk about. It turns out it’s a good thing, goose outta water.
