I just love the Duck! It’s not just the name but my vague memory of my dad’s stories from the Pacific during WWII. My one and only opportunity in the sky with Kermit’s went by way too fast. Before I knew it, the sun was heading south, and time for a pass over water had slipped by. We could go to the water, but we’d lose the light. We could work the light, but orange orchards weren’t my favorite idea for a background for an amphib. What to do? Well, photography is about writing with light. I think the photo contains my decision, answer to the question, light, or background?
