T6 “Taxi Cap” captured by D3s / 70-200f2.8
Oh, it was cold that January morning on the ramp back in 2010. But I didn’t even notice as I was so pumped as I was about to launch on my first commercial A2A photo mission.I didn’t know it at the time, but the owner / pilot was to become a lifelong friend whom I still fly with to this day. The flight that day launched out of Carson City, and we headed due west up and over to Lake Tahoe. Everything was perfect, the air, clouds, wx, and especially the light. And the photography that was produced while being OK accomplished the mission (the video, though, not so much). One of the best parts to the photo mission was/is, that’s Jake in the rear seat of the T6 photographing me in the photo platform! All of that day comes rushing back when I look at the photographs, what a great day, a lot of memories of firsts.
