Oh, that ice cream sandwich tasted so good after a long, hot day. Been going since before sunrise, over 10k images on the card. The photography from the fly-in was over the top but now it was time to just relax. The whole family was with me and sitting down felt so good. I had just taken my second bite of that delish ice cream sandwich when I looked to my right. The stars had started to pop out and that gorgeous P-51A was backlit from the light of the giant party tent set to protect the folks during the heat of the day. The glow in the horizon, the stars overhead and the glow from the tent, I knew I had to make the click. So I said, “Ah Man!” and then you could hear the sounds of my knees creaking as I got up from the heavenly spot to grab my camera and save that memory.
