Fairchild KR-31, Lincoln Page OX-5, Waco GXE captured by Z 9 / Z180-600
It takes very little wind to keep these 1920s & 1930s aircraft grounded. Just prior to sunset, most days at Ala Doble Ranch, there is a window for them to take to the air. When they do this, they like to form up to fly overhead in celebration of flight, the day, the gathering and the community. It’s a gorgeous site. It normally takes a few laps for all the aircraft to catch up and form up. They just don’t go that fast. And the slightest breeze and they move. There is not much more beautiful than an ol time formation!
