P-38 Lightning captured by D4 / 80-400VR
The sunrise pass at the Chino Airshow could produce some crazy images. We tended to have the whole place to ourselves so we could roam and experiment at will. The lead us (Jake & I) to try photos that logically had no sense of working. This is one example. There was one floodlight on the flight line. Then there were the blue taxi way lights. Added to that were the red end of runway lamps, all bouncing off the overcast and sodium vapor lights. As you can see, the color mix is wild and, kinda cool. One of the great blessings of digital is you can play, instantly see the results, and either abandon or build on the results. Because there’s light, and then there’s light.
