Stallion 51 Cadra captured by D3x / 24-70f2.8
When I first proposed this idea to Lee, he hesitated for a mere second before saying, “Let’s make it happen!” Moving four aircraft around in the sky for eleven different formations in the short window of a setting sun is not for the faint of heart. In this case, Lee and the pilots of Stallion 51 made it a cake walk. We photographed the eleven different formations in the time allotted, and all landed safely. This photo is the “training” wing of Stallion 51 at the time. Notice just how tight and precise the formation is, simply spectacular. What you don’t see is the 90-minute brief prior to the flight to pull it all off. It was all out of Lee’s talent and professionalism. Shere genius and the briefing of all time! Good times, good time
