Supermarine Spitfire MkVb captured by D5 / 24-70f2.8
Duxford Aerodrome was a major player in the Battle of Britain. Those buildings you see in the background are from prior to WWII. Today, Duxford airfield is a busy place with its museums and constantly flying aircraft. We had the good fortune to be hosted by HAC with access to their aircraft which include, the Spitfire MkVb. The last evening we had the clouds break as you see, so we pushed the Vb in position as you see it and made clicks. For a historic buff such as myself and lover of aircraft, it was an amazing evening and one of many opportunities photography has brought me. A dream come true!
